Eric Schlosberg and the Mad Hatter
“It’s New York City in the ’80s,” Eric Schlosberg prefaced. “Alice, who’s been working hard for the money, falls down the rabbit hole. The Mad Hatter snatches her and makes her his sex slave for all eternity.” There may be no other way to explain sparkly bustiers, perilously short miniskirts, and a striped minidress he called the Cheshire Cat, as well as a croc-trimmed plaid blazer and a pink velvet overcoat that looked a little, well, pimpy. Enormous top hats by the New York milliner Worth & Worth punctuated the haberdasher look.
