"I sit in front of the mirror a hand length from
my head. As he preps for the day, I am chic
dark and tall. We are a match. He is meticulous
of his wears and grooming. It never seems that a
hair is never out of place without reason. There are
two things he gathers before he leaves his flat:
his long board and me. I go first, he carefully grabs
me by the brim, twirls me in his fingers with a dancers grace. Faces the mirror places me on his head.
He adjusts me firm and elegant with a jaunty angle to
the face. With a self confident he looks to the mirror.
He grasps the board and we are out the door.
At the street he drops the board, places left foot
first, checks my fit and we kick off. I ride tall and
above all to see and be seen."
